Can People be Saved after the Rapture?

There has been some discussion about this topic for years, but have seen very recently this discussed again, twice within a week. Seen here:

and here:

The 1st video is by Jack Hibbs, of whom I do subscribe to on YouTube, but only watch a few of his videos, as I am not a big fan, I do not usually find his teachings very instructional for me, nothing new or exciting. But once in awhile he has a decent to good video I would recommend, and this particular one is fine. Except the point he makes about being unable to be saved after the coming of the anti-christ (or after the rapture).

The 2nd video, by Amir Tsarfati from Behold Israel, is definitely a minister of whom I watch many of his videos. I highly recommend subscribing to his YouTube channel or follow him on Facebook, as his Middle East updates are nearly essential for the watchmen of today. Anyways, he speaks of the same message, that folks cannot be saved after the rapture.

If one does the math, that they believe in Tribulation Saints and do not believe people can be saved after the rapture, that these people are pointing toward a partial rapture. Yet they do not preach a partial rapture, and most people speak ill of it. And that is due to the fact most partial rapture teachers preach on works, of which I do not.

As far as I can tell, they cannot explain who the Tribulation Saints are. But if you read my website or blog, I easily explain who they are, and why they are left behind. As seen here:

Are You Prepared for the Blessed Hope?

or here:

Believing vs. Being Born Again

So what text is used for the idea of no salvation after the rapture? The one Jack Hibbs uses in his video is this:

2 Thessalonians 2
1 ¶ Now we beseech you, my brothers, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him,
3 ¶ Let not anyone deceive you by any means. For that Day shall not come unless there first comes a falling away, and the man of sin shall be revealed, the son of perdition,
4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself forth, that he is God.
8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the breath of His mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming,
9 whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 and with all deceit of unrighteousness in those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, so that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie,
12 so that all those who do not believe the truth, but delight in unrighteousness, might be condemned.

There are other texts people use, but this one, particularly verses 10b-12:

10 …because they did not receive the love of the truth, so that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie,
12 so that all those who do not believe the truth, but delight in unrighteousness, might be condemned.

These verses speak of people who “did not receive the love of the truth, so that they might be saved“, but if you look carefully it also says, “but delight in unrighteousness“.

Romans 2 says:

14 For when the nations, who do not have the Law, do by nature the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law unto themselves;
15 who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and the thoughts between one another accusing or even excusing one another,

There are some, who know wickedness through their conscious and avoid it. Then there are those who are in cults. Mormons can be very morale, but serve a false christ. It is true many in false religions will turn to Spiritual Babylon, the One World Religion, but I believe if they did not follow wickedness, they can repent and be saved. Am I certain? I am not.

Therefore I give a similar warning as these men have done, and not put off salvation.

But I do believe that the Tribulation saints are not only the Left Behind Christians, but those within these types of people who repent.

Do I believe they all have to die? I do not. Because Jesus did say this:

Matthew 24:13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Now some translations word it another way. But I am not dogmatic on this either. It is possible for all Christians to die! I know for a certainty many will and the anti-christ will be given authority to do so. One of the many reasons I believe in a pre-trib rapture! No promise of going through!

Rev 13:7 And it was given to it to war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given to it over every tribe and tongue and nation.

While not mentioned in these videos. I wish to address it here, is that some believe that the restrainer listed in scripture is the Holy Spirit, and if He leaves, then salvation is not possible, because you can’t get saved without the Holy Spirit.

The contested scripture is here:

2 Thess 2:6 And you know what is now restraining him, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but the one who now restrains it will continue until he is taken out of the way.

Most now believe it is the Church, and the hotly contested new idea is Michael the angel. But Jesus said the Church is the salt, and salt preserves and restrains from corruption.

Matt 5:13 You are the salt of the earth…

So, can people be saved after the rapture? I do not know. I believe it possible, but we cannot be certain. It is best to believe in Christ now. Those who believe and are not Born Again, will be here, and will make up part, if not all the Tribulation Saints.

So do not delay. Accept Him now. Start with a prayer like this:

Dear Jesus,

I come to you, to offer my life, not only do I believe in You; in your crucifixion, and your resurrection; but I believe I died with you on the cross. My sin has been paid for, and I also have the resurrected life in me. I offer myself to you, to let You live through me. I will submit to your Holy Spirit to lead me into truth and away from sin. Lord, You are my Shepherd, and I will trust you to lead me to life eternal. Today, I not only call you Savior, but I make You Lord of my life.

In your Holy name I pray,
Amen
