Cell Towers may cause Brain cancer:

It is especially dangerous for children. As for me and my house, we won’t be having any cell phones, for our safety, and the safety of others who have to live by cell towers. I don’t want someone else’s cancer on my hands! And the government is now giving away these brain tumors for free to poor people!

I am pretty hip on new technology, and have to admit getting a cell phone would be cool. And only in this last year have I been tempted to get one, but I won’t back down. Land lines do what I need, and for the extra stuff, I finally realized, I could just get a PDA. And so I may get a PDA, and have what a cell phone offers me.
I remember only a couple of years ago, TV shows started putting cell phones in their shows as a regular occurence. Yeah some had been around years earlier like the X-Files, but they were government agents and had the old big clunker cell phones. And I remember people selling them in McDonald’s years ago, they would invite clients to Mickey D’s and would do their sales pitch at a booth. It was something I saw regularly. But then a couple years ago, I started seeing cell phones as a regular occurence on Smallville and other shows. Then I knew it was becoming a national thing.
Well I always have been good at swimming the other direction and despising click mentality and peer pressure. But here I have a good reason. Cell phones are harmful! And I certainly don’t want some person getting their family sick from a cell tower so the company can serve me my phone service. I don’t want that on my conscience, nor have to stand before God on that. That’s the same reason I stopped using Family Video too, they rent adult movies, and I didn’t want my money going to such a business. I used to use their internet service years ago too, and stopped that as well.
We have to be conscience about where we do business, is that business harmful to others? And the whole, “Everything causes cancer” argument just gets me upset. Everything does not cause cancer. It’s a similar excuse I hear when people say christians can’t have any fun. There is lots of fun without sin, and there are not many things that cause cancer. Especially when we remember moderation.
Phil 4:5: Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
But how can you be moderate with a cell phone? Especially since it requires a dangerous cell tower?! Let’s say I get a cell phone and put it in my vehicle for emergency purposes only. The company has to have cell towers up, to provide that emergency service, which then sickens those who live next to it. I just watched a Fringe episode on Friday. Some Asian gang was illegally immigrating people to the US and infecting them with some worm, which grew a gland that could help people with immune deficiencies. And rich people were paying for it. Thus paying to help their loved ones and having poor immigrants die for that help. That’s fiction, but the same is true with cell phones. You pay for a cell phone and others suffer.
